Skyler Knutzen is a homegrown Iowan, now New York-based Director, DP, and Editor whose work explores the surreal and absurd woven into everyday life. From documentaries on Elvis impersonators to fiction films about method actors’ strange research practices, his stories bridge the gap between rural and metropolitan communities while using intimate narratives to question larger societal issues.

​His work has been showcased at festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, Telluride, and others. It's also been featured on platforms like Nowness, Vimeo Staff Pick, and The Guardian, earning accolades including a Webby and a 1.4 Award.​
